Jarosław Włodarczyk – journalist and publicist, since 2013 Secretary General of the International Association of Press Clubs, an organization associating journalists and media representatives from over 50 countries. He is a member of the Press Club Polska board and the presidium of the Polish Media Council.

Lecturer at the Faculty of Journalism of SWPS University, co-author of the media literacy program for secondary schools and teacher of this subject at the Saska Szkoła Realna high school.

Before 1989, editor of the underground press, later journalist of Gazeta Wyborcza, reporter and anchor in public television news services. In 2000–2001 media advisor to the Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek.

Graduate of the Faculty of Journalism of the University of Warsaw and The Tools of Marketing program at the University of Toronto.

Jarosław Włodarczyk’s research interests include freedom of speech, the role, place and protection of the media in a democratic system, axiology and deontology of journalism and qualitative journalism, as well as issues related to the information society, illiteracy and media education. In addition, he examines the mediatization of politics and the public sphere, disinformation and manipulation.
